Founded in 1989, MorrisSwitzer~Environments for Health is one of the few architecture firms in the country devoted exclusively to healthcare.   We are an established firm, providing architecture, master planning, interior design and programming services for our clients located on community hospital campuses, academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, mental health facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, rehabilitation facilities, medical office buildings, skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities. 

We pride ourselves as a company of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.  Starting with the decision to leave the ‘big firms’ and start a company where the partners and staff can work in an environment that fosters creativity.  Our Boston and Portland, Maine offices are on bustling waterfront locations, and our Vermont office offers plenty of green space and inspiring mountain views. Principals Dan Morris, Jerry Switzer and Jill Boardman have created a culture of teamwork, flexibility and spirit. Their intensity and drive for excellence is shared by all MorrisSwitzer employees, and is continually renewed by their participation on every project. Together, they represent over 50 years of healthcare architecture experience on national and international projects.
